Mid Season Update

The football regular season is officially halfway finished. With a 40-0 win over the University of South, we improved our overall record to 5-1. Our only loss was against Millsaps College, who is also tied for first place in the conference. We are currently tied for first in the conference with a big game coming up on Saturday against DePauw University in Indiana. With a win on Saturday, we would be in very good position to win the conference and advance into the playoffs for the first time since 2006. We have two remaining home games against Azusa Pacific University and Centre College, then a final road trip to Sherman, Texas to play Austin College to finish out the season. The remaining schedule is set up for us to finish 9-1, but we have to come ready to play every Saturday afternoon. Centre will be an important game for us because we lost to them last year, which eliminated us form the playoffs. If we do end up advancing into the playoffs we would most likely play the University of Mary Hardin - Baylor. But, there is still a lot of football to play to see how the conference finishes up before we can even start to think about the playoffs.
