A Typical Week

Football season can be somewhat stressful, especially during the week. Finding time to budget between football and school can be somewhat hard. Usually this means staying up late at night to finish homework and to study. A typical week for me starts out with the first day of practice on Tuesday. I have to go to meetings the same days that I have practice. Tuesday meetings start at 3:15 in the afternoon. After the meeting, I then have practice from 4:15 to roughly 6:45. Wednesday’s are the same routine except I have to go to morning weights at 6:45. The workout usually takes about an hour to complete. Sometimes shorter or longer depending on how fast I go. On Thursday we do our meeting in the morning instead of the afternoon. Practice is usually somewhat lighter and shorter since we do not have to wear full pads. Friday is only an hour long practice where the coaches make sure everyone knows what they are doing. Saturday is of course our game day. Sunday we have film and weights from about three o’clock in the afternoon until around six. Monday we have the entire day off to catch up on school work and to relax. Monday’s can be busy with homework because I am trying to get caught up from the previous week, or trying to get ahead for the next week. This week we do not have a game, so this week is somewhat relaxing. I have more time to do work, and I get a chance to get away for the weekend and go home. Then, Sunday afternoon I get back into the football routine with practice.
